Maori and lung cancer

Among the number of cancer types, Lung cancer has emerged on top in the past couple of decades. The fact is not proven wrong among the people of Maori, a tribal people who have their native as New Zealand. For various researchers, the culture of them is always been an uncovered one for many years. The world literate has a very little meaning among them since most are not educated and live a life of ancient. The cause of lung cancer among the people of Maori id not entirely dependent on direct smoking, passive smoking is also one of the major causes. Since the people are uneducated, they tend to work in harmful environment like the work related to asbestos which may eventually lead to lung cancer. The treatment procedure is also one of the big factors that have an effect on the fatality rate of Maori when compared to the non Maori since they are not in a position to afford them and racisms also play a hand in it.

When a survey was conducted in the year 2004 to 2006, the stats revealed that the percentage of death is high in the case of Maori people when compared to those of non Maori. Even after number of campaign where conducted among the people of Maori to make them quit smoking, the number of smokers have not decreased in them and has continued to stay above 50%. Thus many are been diagnosed by lung cancer every year.

Cancer has not been at a same rate in all types of people and cultures. The effect of them various from culture to culture since their activities do vary from one another. And in the case of lung cancer the difference is quite appreciable since the major cause of it, that is, inhaling of products and its consequences are not always well known among the people. Maori, a class of people from the land of New Zealand who are not well known exposed to the outer world. Since their world view is quite short compared to others, there is less chance for them to know about the consequences of usage of tobacco products. The average age of death in the people of Maori is high when compared to those of non Maori. The death age difference is as high as 7 years where the average age is 70 in non Maori. Thus awareness among these people must be implemented to reduce the death rates.

But both are lookalike but the intervention for the disease will be dissimilar. But the sizes of both neoplasms will not be equal. But many people will get confuse in differing these kind of cancers. They never know the impacts, features, structures of the tumors. Government must make the people to be aware about the implications.

First patients must undergo special test so that only they can understand the size of tumors. It’s very rare case many people know about the test for cancer. So every citizen or people must know the clear cut knowledge about all kind of diseases. Sometimes many cases are more sensitive to radiation and so it is necessary to determine the cancer at the earliest stage. Otherwise first aid treatments itself will leads to some allergy and other side effects to patients. There is a tremendous growth in this medical field.
